Local "Laundry mat" in Honduras. Any rock
will do. The palm branches help keep out some of the sun and
heat.
Kids using a fishing line and whatever bait
they can find to catch something to eat for the day.
Fishing boats waiting for the days catch.
Local fishermen take these boats out rain or shine in order to
catch a days worth of fish to feed their family. This is on
the shore outside Omoa Honduras.
This young boy, about 8 years old, hikes into
the hills about 100 feet above the village in order to collect
firewood for his family.
Getting ready to install dishes for a
microwave link after Hurricane Katrina outside Waveland
Mississippi. We put these up on a 400 foot tower that link an
MCI telephone feed from Gulfport.
Pulling up the three foot microwave dishes.
That is Anthony Forney from Portland, OR and Mac Dearborn from
Louisiana on the tower. It took over 5 hours on the tower in 95
degree weather to get this set up. We went thorough more than a
few bottles of water. Mac was a great guy to work with for the
week I was there.
Working on the 200 foot tall Waveland
Mississippi water tower. We put up several backhaul microwave
antennas and 900 MHz communication (base station) antennas to
connect the various groups that needed to communicate to
coordinate help and rescue efforts.
